The St John’s College High School in Washington, DC has always fielded a strong girls basketball program. The prestigious and rigorous academic school has lived up to those laurels this 2016-17 season with an impressive 17-1 record playing against some of the top competition across the country. Tenth season head coach Jonathan Scribner has done a good job directing the program he took over from Eddie Simpson who complied a 213-51 record over seven seasons. Moreover, the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference is arguably the No.1 secondary school athletic league in the country regardless of sport. Look for St John’s College to battle for this years WCAC Girls Basketball Championship.
