Basketball Wall Street NCAA: “What Next For Syracuse Women’s Basketball”

Coming off of a historical run to the NCAA Championship Game, Quentin Hillsman is entering his 11th season as the head coach of the Syracuse Women’s Basketball program. The Suitland, Md., native has accumulated a record of 219-116, including 5 trips to the NCAA Tournament. So whats next?, Senior Alexis Petersen has proven she is one of the top point guards in the country and will lead this seasons team along with 5th year senior guard Brittney Sykes. Transfers, Young-(Florida), Drummond-(St Bonaventure), and Nwajei-(Wagner) will bring experience and scoring punch to the roster along with senior posts Bria and Brianna Day. Freshmen Dale, Elmore and Cooper are the future and should contribute while they acclimate themselves to major division one basketball. Former Kentucky assistant coach Adeniyi Amadou has been added to the Syracuse staff in the same capacity. Coach Hillsman has built a program with a sense of stability, and an identity of winning through hard work and determination. Whats next for Syracuse is to continue to compete at the highest level this season and make a strong run in this years NCAA Tournament.
