Jada Boyd is a bright young lady who is beginning to develop into a major collegiate prospect in a very deep and talented 2019 scholastic recruiting class. At an early age Jada knew she wanted to be a basketball player “I started playing in the 6th grade when I went down to Florida to see my sister and her AAU team play. Ever since then I knew this is what I wanted to do” says Jada. At 6-foot-1 and growing the Petersburg, Virginia native epitomizes the new age wing-forward in that she can handle the ball well enough to create her own shot from the wing or the high post area. She also excels offensively with a smooth face-up and drive game. Boyd utilizes above average athleticism and good footwork to post up and finish at the rim. At this point in her development she is not content with her game “I want to become stronger and expand my game more”. Jada is looking forward to this high school season to be the leader of her Appomattox Regional Governor’s School For the Arts & Technology team and to help them get back to the Virginia State Championship game. Look for her to have an outstanding sophomore season this year and to receive a lot of recruiting interest and offers from major universities across the country.
